Why Supreme Court Justices Can’t Escape the Reality of Their Decisions
If you are anyone else, read this without consequence. But if you’re on the Supreme Court, or their staff, you are entering into a contract with God by continuing to read. Don’t explain yourself to me; explain yourself to them.
I saw Philip Defranco the other day about the Supreme Court asking for more security (30:46):
I hear Amy talk, and you know what I hear?
The Supreme Court’s argument: Why can’t we just kill people with impunity? Why can’t we just make sex slaves out of American women in the name of the morality of Jesus Christ? Why do husbands and families get mad at us for the death of their mothers and daughters that would have otherwise been prevented with access to abortion? Why are people making us responsible for enabling a petafile?
Are you stupid? I mean, I have to ask.
Just like Republicans tell Democrats and Immigrants after the policies they perpetuate have made our lives miserable… you can always leave.
In reality, you need to re-ajudacate your jurisprudence.
Look, I’m a jerk, but I also live in reality, so I expect someone to come for me at some point.
You, on the other hand, are awful and don’t understand why people are coming for you after bringing death and making their lives miserable.
Wow, are you a child!?
You’re like Elon Musk, who responded when asked, “Do you know everyone hates you?” and, like a child, responded, “Nun uh, everyone hates YOU!”
Notice how he didn’t accept the criticism, so he won’t change.
Guess what, Republicans have brought this on themselves through decades of gun laws, the politics of fear, and a culture of violence.
You just want more security so you can insulate yourselves from you and your party's decisions and actions. And, for sure, you have cognitive dissonance.
So let me level with you. It is terrible this has happened to you, and I wish it hadn’t. But you deserve it. I know you don’t think you do because you wanna absolve yourself from responsibility, but this is the real world. There are actually consequences for your actions no matter who you are.
Like Rand Paul, who would possibly put me on the spot, I would say this to your faces. That’s actually the goal. I want you to know you deserve it because that means you would have to (say it with me) “recognize reality, and take responsibility.”
This is what’s gonna happen, your gonna continue to make sick and messed up decisions because your thinking is all Ayn Rand. Then there is gonna be a backlash from your power in action where people will retaliate. Then, instead of taking responsibility by recognizing what you have done and correcting it, you’re gonna ask for more security. Then you're gonna make more sick decisions. Then there’s gonna be more backlash. Then you're gonna waste more taxpayer money on security, when the real problem is you. This is the same with Trump.
I feel like this is going to have to be repeated for people like y’all. As a son of a former judge, I will tell you. Being a judge, just like a cop, is actually a dangerous job. The only way it’s worth the danger is if you're actually doing good because you're gonna need the public to ultimately help protect you. So when you get in this dangerous position of power, and you turn on the public, guess what, the public is gonna turn on you. And instead of changing your behavior for that good, you whine and up security so you can further insulate yourselves and affect the public negatively with impunity. Congratulations, you deserve it!
Your decisions have victimized citizens physically, mentally, and economically without recognizing your responsibility, with no remorse or correction while expecting we just lay down and take it. This is America! Republicans say that all the time without actually getting it.
Instead of trying to understand why everyone hates you, you blame them while spending their money to continue to act with impunity and keep doing the things that got you in this position in the first place. Do you see why I question your intelligence?
You work for us, the public, and there are consequences for your indecency. But you can’t see that and just wanna insulate yourself.
Now that you know what you’re doing, you can take it up with the Gods about whether you change or not and what they're gonna do with you.
Believe it or not, I am trying to help you by telling you you deserve it. Because if you could change your behavior to stop giving the public provocation, which would save us a security bill, everyone wins.
So, if you want all this to stop, start with yourself, go see a psychologist, look in the mirror, and take responsibility for your actions. Good talk.
