Does The Illuminati Exist? Why Corporate Power, Not Secret Societies, Rules Our Reality

It's hard to divorce this countries obsession with the Illuminati and secret societies with that of religion and Christianity. In any real context, rhetoric can constrain or expand topics just by setting up the parameters in a question. For instance, the question, "Is Jay-Z part of the Illuminati?" assumes two things. One, the Illuminati actually exists, and two, the organisation isn't racist and would allow a black man into the club.

What question we should be asking ourselves is: Does it even matter if the Illuminati exists?

For me, I asked this question a long time ago and I keep on coming up with the same conclusion. Answering the question as purposed "Does the Illuminati exist?" distracts from why that question is being asked in the first place--it constrains thinking and diverges the discussion into hearsay.

Asking "why is it important to know if the Illuminati exists?" is much more broadening. This allows us to make a value judgement based on relevance. I believe people want to know if the Illuminati exists because they want to know if democracy is being undermined by a cohesive and active force. They (simultaneously) feel helpless or incapable of changing the system so they give into apathy and despair due to the assumption that "the Illuminati" controls everything. In reality, the Illuminati only justifies feelings of hopelessness rather than providing an answer to the supposed problem.

I'll tell you straight up. Democracy is being undermined by a cohesive and active force, but it's not "the Illuminati." Any public policy social researcher will tell you that a cohesive, able, and opulent corporate class push governmental laws and reforms through congress (under the guise of 'think tanks') and use their monied interests to purchase lobbist, peep insider trading deals, and give-out outlandish campaign contributions.

The poltical system is openly and obviously rigged in the favor of wealthy plutocrats who buy influence through various means. But, what the Illuminati does is make the situtation hopeless. It makes the individual feel helpless because "they control everything." Eventually apathy becomes self-pity and then turns to learned helplessness.

The best question is to ask: "How do we change the system's functionality so that power will be put back in the hands of the people?" By focusing on functionality and levers the "Power Elite" use to make agenda(s) become reality, we can draw lawful sanctions against avenues which allow people to abuse power.

How could we change the system so that wealthy plutocrats can't control our legislative and judicial system? Vote! Its really that simple actually. The problem is the voter turn out. Although, the rates are now back up, it's still under 65% and the accrued damage from a wealthy business class and a lethargic public has already taken it's toll.

Democracy is rule by the people and the foundation of our republic is The Constitution. The Constitution is a document the Founding Fathers wrote for humanity that proclaims the inalienable rights of man. (I no longer assume people know what the constitution is!) This means that if our republic is to work and the democratic element is to function properly, their must be an active and informed citizenry willing to participate in the electoral process. With a failed education system and a commercial media-complex that is subservient to corporate advertisers, the system our Founding Fathers created for us fails to functoin properly because those who are suppose to enforce the rule of law (i.e. we the people) are docile, hopeless, vastly miss informed, or serving the interests of their religious cult.

Some people say they don't vote because they feel it's like voting for either a douche or a turd sandwich. Either way, your not going to get close to your ideal candidate because

However, the situation is far from hopeless. What most people don't realize is that the political power the people hold is implicit. The fact that congress passed Citizen's United (on behalf of wealth plutocrats) to rig elections through campaign contributions means that actively shaping public perception is necessary and important to win an election. The fact that Republicans try to restrain voter registration in low-income neighborhoods (so that people can't register to vote that day) shows that marginalizing the poor is necessary in steering the election in their favor. The fact that coporations spend all that money, and Republicans spend all that time, is proof that the electoral system still matters and affects functionality.

You should do some real reading about who controls the power structure of America. Coporations rule, and their doesn't need to be a ruleing eleite for their influence and ideology to prevail. If we changed the functionality of the system we could usurp the power of those who currently lead industry and our economic fate.

How does religion and Christianity play into this paradigm?

The discussion about the Illuminati always comes from those who don't have the mental faculties to get outside of the influence of god and religion. The fact is the belief in the Illuminati cannot be divorced from christian occultism and fanaticism. Everyone who entertains the existence of the Illuminati actually talks about Satan and/or Baphomet as if they actually exist, which is the first problem. Have you ever noticed that God is just used in order to keep the masses"in-line" through fear?

This means that all the claims about the Illuminati and it's "puppets" worshiping the devil/baphomet are only designed for people who actually are smart enough to understand symbols but not intelligent enough to understand the function and influence of religion. (When I look at the picture to the right; if someone did do that on purpose, they did it to evoke fear through religious associations.) This is why academics don't take the Illuminati seriously, because it's proponents talk about fictitious gods in an Angels and Daemons type paradigm. The fact that The Davinci Code created such a stir for the Catholic church only proves my point. In reality, to me, academics, atheists, and anyone who isn't Christian, it was just another fictional story... like the bible.

The day the American public decides it wants to take back it's government, is the day it will be theirs. But, as usual with human nature, American's won't deal with their problems until their personal situation has been effected, their assets displaced, and their self-interest is at stake. We the people can change the system anytime we want to; but it will take a concerted and cohesive effort.
